Wow! This week has been one exciting surprise after another – not exactly something I have said a lot this year! The week started on Monday with the announcement of the Finalists for the 2020 Dog Writer Association of America Awards – I am absolutely thrilled to announce that two articles I wrote for The New York Times this year have been selected to be finalists! I’m so proud of these articles and am absolutely thrilled that they are being honored in this way! The awards are in February so ::fingers crossed:: 
Then – it doesn’t even feel feel real but my author copies of Chew This Journal FINALLY arrived in the mail!!! The book is releasing
December 15th – and I can’t wait for it to be in your hands! I did a live unboxing of the books which you can watch a replay of on my YouTube It was so much fun and the biggest most exciting part was that I discovered in the video that the book has been published HARDCOVER!!! I had no idea – it was a surprise that my publisher had kept from me. This is the first time one of my books has been published hardback so I’m just beyond thrilled. Have you ordered a copy yet?
THEN as if all that wasn’t enough excitement for one week – unexpectedly on Tuesday Sirius and I got a package we weren’t expecting. Over the summer Sirius and I submitted an entry to the 2020 AKC National Trick Dog Competition and……….. She was selected as the #1 Newfoundland in the competition!!!!!!
Needless to say it’s been a fantastic week – and such a fun way to lead up to the release of Chew This Journal!!!
