Tricks In The City Finalist in DWAA Awards!

I am absolutely thrilled to be able to announce that my new book “Tricks In the City”  has been honored as a finalist in TWO categories for this year’s Dog Writers Association of America Awards!!! I am absolutely THRILLED. “Tricks In The City” is a finalist for books about Training/Sports AND then “Tricks In The City” is also a finalist for a Special Awards Category for “Fear Free Dog Enrichment”

This book was so much fun to develop- one of my favorite things is helping people and their dogs to have more fun together and have a more enriched relationship. I’m so excited that this book is out in the world, and that it has been so well received. Being a finalist for this award is such an honor, and it’s extra special that the award is for *this * book and that it happened just over a month after my beloved Charlotte passed away. Without Charlotte I would probably never have entered the wonderful world of trick sports, wouldn’t be a Certified Trick Dog Instructor, and wouldn’t be building a life where I am lucky enough to get to write about dogs for a living! Charlotte is the reason I became so passionate about special needs dogs and fear free work so being up for that special award is an extra special honor.

Be sure to check out all the fantastic finalists for this year’s awards!
