NEW YORK TIMES!

I am BEYOND thrilled to be able to share that my first article for The New York Times was just published! You can read it here

Also is this art not completely  completely perfect? I didn’t see the art until the article went live and I’m utterly in love with it and feel like it beautifully captures the feel of this story – I’m just in awe of how beautiful it is (and truth be told I might have printed it out off the internet and put it into a frame to hang here in my office!)

I’ve been so overwhelmed (in a good way) and thrilled with the response to this article so far. I am  very grateful for the opportunity to have had this conversation with experts in such a respected publication, it has been so hard to keep this story a secret for the past few months! I actually filed the story the week that my beloved dog Charlotte died. Charlotte was a brilliant and challenging rescue dog who changed the course of my entire career,  gave me new tools and language and approaches to working with and on behalf of dogs. Essentially Charlotte changed really every aspect of my life and she made me a much better trainer, and it is special that this story, on this topic for such a prestigious newspaper is the last thing I wrote with her at my side.

It is my hope in all my dog work that in some small way I am able to support creating a safer and more enriched world for dogs.  <3
